Sunday worship at 10:30 AM

Welcome
We desire to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ in the heart of Sonoma, counsel believers in the Word, equip members to use their gifts to serve others, train future pastors and elders, and send out families to make disciples of all the nations.
Join us each Sunday at 10:30 AM for gathered worship, prayer, preaching, fellowship, teaching, and equipping.

Located near the downtown plaza, the church is woven into the daily life and history of Sonoma and the wider Valley.

We invite all people who desire to hear the voice of Christ from the word of Christ, welcoming visitors, families, to worship with us.

What We Believe
The church's doctrinal content is preserved here and presented in a format that is easier to read and update.
The Holy Bible was written by men divinely inspired and is God's revelation of Himself to man. It is a perfect treasure of divine instruction, totally true and trustworthy, and the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds, and religious opinions should be tried.
There is one and only one living and true God: Creator, Redeemer, Preserver, and Ruler of the universe. The eternal triune God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes but without division of nature, essence, or being.
God as Father reigns with providential care over His universe, His creatures, and the flow of human history according to the purposes of His grace. He is all powerful, all knowing, all loving, and all wise.
Christ is the eternal Son of God. In His incarnation as Jesus Christ He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, perfectly revealed and did the will of God, died in the place of sinners, rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, and will return in power and glory.
About & History
From Ames Chapel in 1851 to a Baptist congregation founded in 1945, the church's story is woven into the life of Sonoma.
1851
The sanctuary was first built as a simple one-room chapel, lit by oil lamps and warmed by a wood-burning stove.
1893
The building was relocated near the Sonoma plaza and raised into the Gothic silhouette that defines it today.
1945
The present congregation was established as a Baptist church committed to Christ-centered worship, Scripture, and local ministry.
